We had a wonderful Christmas this year despite worrying we'd all be sick and nothing would be ready in time. Illnesses broke, gifts were all sent off, cards mailed, etc, etc. And we have really been enjoying this break off work this week.

Getting a few things done around the house like cleaning up the bonus room and kneewall storage - things we haven't been able to find time to do lately with Evan around. That's not to say the list is finished, there are so many things on it and we have to enjoy some of our break after all. Had a couple nice breakfasts at Cracker Barrel, lots of lazy free time and naps, and some good time with just Christina and I... something that's a luxury sometimes with a small child.

And what would a blog post be without photos and videos to share...

And it was unfortunately a day late but fantastic nonetheless - we got snow the day after Christmas! Evan really enjoyed playing in it - cried when we brought him back inside, but it was most definitely nap time. Still, we got probably 3 inches of snow, unheard of here for this time of the year.

I am so starting Christmas in early October next year. We did our usual rush and stress at the zero hour again this year - getting old.

Add to that a 21 day (so far) viral cold and life's been just awesome lately. Actually despite all that today was a really good day for a lot of little important reasons. Or it's the sleep deprivation talking, so congested the last few days I've gotten a restless 3-4 hours of sleep each night.

But, at least we're on break now and don't go back to work until January 4th. And daycare is open next week too, so it should be a nice chance to get some stuff done around here.

Also put up a couple new videos the other day, it's been way too long since I've taken any of Evan and he's certainly in a very cute stage too... and very happy since the tubes went in, it's amazing the difference in how long he's staying well overall.
