Great game tonight! Only thing better than watching Carolina win is watching them stomp Clemson! Our defense was spectacular, but then again Clemson isn't a great offense either. It was good the D stepped up because we got off track on offense in the second half real bad.

Not before Alshon threw up another big night though!

Tubes went really well - we got there around 7:05am and the doctor who was doing his tubes was on call the night before and got held up at the hospital that morning. So, we had to wait in the back after he got into his gown for 50 minutes and the kid was near perfect. In fact, there were other kids in there screaming and crying and Evan just tried to look around the corner with a look on his face like "what's up with that kid?"

He was also fantastic afterwards - they had warned us that kids can wake up fussing and crying because they're confused and the doctors and nurses aren't Mom and Dad, etc, etc. No, he woke up for them smiling and happy. We went back to where they had him afterwards and he's wrapped up in a blanket being rocked by a nurse just drinking apple juice from his sippy cup and smiling at us.

And the after effects of the tubes after the first day of irritation have been really promising. He was already a happy child but you can tell he's even calmer and happier. Less fussing overall which makes Mom and Dad very happy. Hopefully these things will last and help throughout this cold season.

Evan had his appointment with the ENT last week - he's scheduled to get tubes this Thursday. Can't keep getting ear infections at the rate he does and downing more antibiotics. Tis the season to get them too, seems like every kid at daycare is all snotty too. Heard lots of good things about it from folks with kids, so hopefully it'll do wonders for Evan too.

Also this morning I clayed a car for the first time. Not difficult, just time consuming. Makes a big difference in the finish too. If you rub the back of your hand over the areas not done yet it's definitely rough and on the areas that have been done it's nice and smooth. I think the results speak for themselves though:
